Carved wooden box decorated with cream cabochons

Old finely carved wooden box adorned with cream cabochons surrounded by interior metal dressed in purple silk moist. Originally probably a 19th century late glove box, rectangular box made of solid light wood with riveted cream decoration on top. Useable in jewelry box or pens... Very decorative with a lot of allure and history, it has a little exotic side, return from travel style very popular at that time. Very good condition, at the lock a repair of the cream part and a few slits and a lack on the top decoration, a small halo inside, the cabochons are all present. Length 31cm, width 13cm, height 8.5cm.
