Louis XVI style secretary

Here is a beautiful louis XVI style solid oak secretary desk. The whole thing has been repaired in different places, notably the molding on the right side. It had been attacked by wood-eating insects in the past, it was treated and the wood is now healthy. Most of the holes have been filled. The old varnish was stripped and then sanded. The body of the furniture is painted in a matt beige color and protected with colorless varnish. The drawers and the leaf were left in raw wood and protected with wax. The hardware is brass. This is the original hardware, it has been cleaned to revive the gold color. Atelier crvm renovates and revamps all styles of wooden furniture, old and new, to give them a second life. The furniture sold is old and second-hand. Even if they have undergone a meticulous renovation and makeover in the workshop, they may nevertheless show signs of wear which have not been erased to retain all their charm.
