Large model in solid oak, belonging to the post-war neo-rustic movement that modernises French craftsmanship: clean volumes, sculpted decoration, door with a "target" motif, moulded/guilloché uprights, and mixed legs (front feet as spheres, back as sabres) reminiscent of the spirit of Charles Dudouyt and the warm modernism of Guillerme & Chambron. Practical with a belt drawer and a niche closed by a brass knob door. Beautiful brown patina, generous proportions: perfect as a bedside table or occasional furniture for a living room or entrance.
