Vintage 1960s Murano Blue & Red Spot Corroso Glass Dish by Galliano Ferro

A vintage, weighty and highly sculptural shallow dish made of solid pale blue glass with an applied red-orange spot to the top, decorated ‘a corroso’ – a textured surface created by packing the glass in acid-soaked wood shavings, creating an irregular and tactile pitted surface. It was made on the island of Murano, Italy, in the 1960s, most likely by the furnaces of Galliano Ferro. Very minor signs of use to top, and a very small amount of base wear, both in line with its age, but otherwise in perfect condition. *Ships from the UK*.
