Mid-century modern vase, multicolour glass, designed by J. Hospodka, Czechoslovakia, 1960s

A vase by Josef Hospodka, designed for the Chribská glassworks in Czechoslovakia in the 1960s, is an example of mature experimentation with form and colour in the spirit of mid-century modern. The sculptural shape evokes organic lines, with distinctly irregular, undulating edges subtly turned upwards.
