Persian Meshkin rug early 20th century

Old persian “meshkin” rug, from iran, authentic from the early 1900s. Entirely artisanal and hand-knotted, this rug has a beautiful size and very elegant patterns typical of persian rugs. We love its bright colors, with its dominant pink and its touches of blue and brown in particular. Composed of three central diamond-shaped patterns, on which different rather “flowery” patterns in contrasting and intense colors are composed. Brown border and colorful floral patterns, topped with two small white borders with colored diamonds. Very elegant. Presence of small fringes on both sides of the carpet. The label is no longer present on the back, but it comes from a lot from a previous owner, where the label is present on the other models proving their authenticity and great age. Please note this carpet is very old, and it has defects, it can be worn in places in particular and the handmade knots have worked. This is what we love about this type of rug, which gives it its charm and authenticity. The colors, for their part, remained very beautiful and intense, with no visible discoloration due to the sun. - dimensions - approximately 208 X 150 cm.
