2 farmhouse benches made of cherry wood

Pair (2) of farmhouse benches made of cherry wood from Normandy, France. Cherry wood is prized for its fine grain and warm reddish-brown hue. Over the years, the colour deepens, as can be seen here. These two benches have been traditionally assembled using mortise and tenon joints, visible on the surface. No nails or screws, just traditional craftsmanship designed to last for generations. The set bears the marks of years of use: a rich patina, small wormholes, a fine crack in one of the legs. Still robust enough to last for years to come, only becoming more beautiful with time.
