A fine earthenware footed plate from the Keller & Guérin factory in Lunéville, decorated with the famous "Carnation" pattern in deep blue on an ivory background. This delicately naturalistic floral motif, punctuated by a stylized vegetal frieze on the rim and foot, embodies all the refinement of French earthenware from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The elegant silhouette of this serving dish, with its wide bowl resting on a slender foot, makes it as decorative as it is functional, ideal as a centerpiece, for presenting fruit or pastries, or as a sculptural element on a sideboard. Stamped "K.G. Lunéville," the Keller & Guérin factory is a leading name in Lorraine earthenware, renowned for the fineness of its clay and the quality of its printed decorations. The stamp dates it to around 1880-1910. Beautiful vintage condition, with a chip on the rim (visible in photos) and a few minor chips on the edge, but no cracks or repairs. The enamel has a lovely patina with a fine, even crackle, typical of these antique pieces, which highlights their authentic character. Note that the decoration is slightly blurred in places. Diameter 22.5 cm Height 11 cm Elegant and expressive, perfect for adding a timeless graphic touch to a contemporary decor.
