Coat rack in cast iron from the Art Nouveau period – with receiving tray.

Free-standing coat rack in cast iron, painted, Art Nouveau period, circa 1900-1910. Tall and symmetrical silhouette characteristic of the period. The top is crowned with a finial in the shape of a flower urn with gilded highlights, topped with a tulip button. The central part features a bevelled oval mirror set in a beaded frame with gilded highlights, surrounded by volutes and floral arabesques in cast iron. Several levels of double hooks with scrolls, adorned with floral motifs, allow for the hanging of coats and hats. The lower part includes a circular umbrella ring and rests on an original oval drip tray, decorated with high-relief floral patterns. Original white/grey paint shows flaking and wear consistent with the age of the piece; black cast iron is visible in places, particularly on the tray and ring. No missing parts reported by the seller. Cleaning and repainting to be assessed according to use. Piece is entirely original with its drip tray. Dimensions: H. 220 cm – W. 65 cm – Weight: 80 kg.
