Bistro chair Baumann 1963 curved wood and skaï imitation leather caramel

Very pretty baumann chair, rather original, dating from 1963 (stamp under the frame of the seat). The curved wooden structure is elegant, the rounded "glulam" backrest gives it scandinavian airs, and the caramel-colored imitation leather brings warmth, softness and comfort. I cleaned it with great care (the skaï has reliefs that were very dirty but that I managed to clean). This chair was not in good condition, I did my best to give it a new life... Many wood chips to fill, sand, revarnish, repairs on the back including a crack repaired on a stud. The result is not perfect, far from it, I used a shade too light for wood pulp, but this baumann chair is presentable again, able to start another life! It is still solid but has many traces of time and use: stains, scratches and various marks on the wooden structure. The arched wooden backrest has marks, gaps (filled) and various traces. The skai coating has a hole at the left edge of the backrest, and six small tears (not perforating at the moment) and stains and discolorations on the seat. It is 83 cm high at the backrest, 47 cm seat height, 40 cm wide and 42 cm deep. It weighs about 5 kg.
