1950s planter

I found this 1950s planter in a house clearance. It was in pretty good condition even though the base had already been reattached crooked. This doesn't affect its balance at all. I restored it (the top still has some marks) and I chose this deep Bordeaux color to give it even more weight. A matte varnish densifies this finish even more. I find it ideal for showing off plants. It can also be used in a living room to store bottles of alcohol, bar style. But why not also, to display books or magazines. Everyone has their own choices and desires.
