Black ancient travel trunk, 19th

Large black wooden travel trunk dating from the late 19th century. Original metal plate on the front side with inscription " engenheiro, goulart de avila ", translation "engineer, goulart de avila". This trunk was probably used by the engineer during a transatlantic between europe and south america. Handles and straps in black leather (a broken strap). Scrap metal and studded reinforcements of the period. The interior is patterned chicken feet with a large trunk and an upper compartment. The lock is to be restored because it no longer closes. The whole is in its juice.
