Magnificent and rare stoneware set consisting of a deep plate (or low bowl) and its matching vase, created by the famous Belgian-Italian ceramist Antonio LAMPECCO (1932-2019) during his emblematic period at the Ceramic Workshop of the Abbey of Maredsous. This set showcases the artist's absolute mastery of chromatic research and textured glazes that have earned him international acclaim. Features and highlights of the lot: Exceptional glaze: A stunning water green/turquoise nuanced covering with a speckled and crystallised decoration, beautifully capturing the light. It is one of the most sought-after and luminous colours of the artist. Double signature & authenticity guaranteed: The deep plate bears the monogram "AL" finely incised by hand into the raw clay twice, confirming Lampecco's intimate signature. The vase, perfectly matched in shape and glaze, comes directly from the same workshop set. Rarity "Time Capsule": The plate still has its original paper label from the Abbey of Maredsous intact under the base (logo with M and stylised crozier, mentioning Made in Belgium).
