Exceptional floor lamp ACCOLAY. Created by the potters of Accolay, not just a group of artisans, but a community utopia at the crossroads of Faith, Art, and post-World War II resilience. André Bouraud, one of the founders of Accolay, developed "Cepamine, " a resin mixed with glass, incorporating dried flowers, plants, and butterflies. Great names have walked the paths of Accolay, such as Georges Pelletier and Raphael Giarrusso. The Accolay community abandons the individual signature; beauty is not a matter of rarity but of truth. The common signature is the starting point. Each artist contributes their knowledge to the community. In addition to the extraordinary shaped lampshade, we discover a base made of chamotte (granular clay with soft shapes and openings to let light through). A true work of art with its "totem" presence, it takes on its full meaning with these two points of light. A rare piece in this format! Excellent condition. The artisanal work has left some marks, such as this small "drip" on the face of the base. (see photo) Protected shipping will require two packages. The second will be at my expense as I do not want to risk putting everything in a single package. One can imagine it in a seventies decor or perhaps in a villa with soft tones... Terracotta and by the sea...
