Double candlestick Vallauris Fontaine de Vaucluse vintage ceramic

Charming double candlestick in glazed ceramic from Vallauris, probably made in the 1960s. The piece features a very sculptural shape with two arms designed to hold candles and a central openwork element evoking a stylised flame. The whole rests on a base decorated with the inscription "Fontaine de Vaucluse, " reminiscent of the typical souvenir productions of the region. The glaze displays beautiful deep brown and bright orange hues with drip effects characteristic of many ceramics from Vallauris of this period. The object has a strong decorative presence and can be used as a candlestick or as a vintage decorative item. This type of ceramic was often sold in workshops and tourist shops in the south of France and today serves as a lovely testament to the decorative design of the 1950s-70s. Dimensions. Length: 26 cm.
