Pierre Lallemand (born in 1959): Pierre Lallemand is a Belgian architect, designer and artist trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. Co-founder of the Art & Build firm, he developed a body of work marked by a sculptural approach to design from the 1980s. He collaborated with the publisher Moonlight Design / Bis Lighting, which produced his lighting fixtures such as Cyclops, Ptolemy, Paradox, etc., in the 1980s-1990s. These creations combine Pyrex glass, stainless steel, aluminum and sometimes concrete or marble for certain models. Some of his outdoor lamps designed for Moonlight have been installed in public spaces in Belgium, visible in particular along avenues or urban squares. His work embraces both functional design and the architectural poetry of light.
