Souvignet folding chair, chrome metal and brown faux leather.

Here is a pair of wonderful folding chairs, retro in style with a chrome metal frame (steel) and a brown faux leather seat and backrest (on wood and foam). They are from the French brand Souvignet, renowned in the 1970s for the quality of its seating. Souvignet, founded in 1927, initially manufactured tubes and then bicycle forks. It was from the 1960s that it ventured into "tubular" furniture, functional and robust, primarily aimed at communities and restaurants, notably with the famous Plichaise chair, which has sold over 4 million units since its creation in 1965. The company was bought out and thus ceased to exist as such in 2014. The Plichaise chair is very comfortable and extremely practical, as it is sturdy, easy to clean, and especially space-saving when folded. Today, it will add a retro touch to both professional premises and a home. These two chairs are in very good condition; they have probably been very little used, with no corrosion, the chrome steel shows no dullness, it is still quite shiny, the faux leather is almost intact, and the padding is in very good condition, everything is functional. The only signs of age on these chairs are: on one, a small abrasion of the faux leather under the lower edge of the backrest, and on the other, two tiny abrasions on the faux leather of the backrest (front side), a discreet mark on the lower edge of the backrest, and a small missing "plug" (easily found in a DIY store). When folded, their dimensions are 92 cm by 44 cm with a thickness of about 10 cm. When unfolded, they measure 80 cm in height, 45 cm in seat height, 44 cm in maximum width, and 50 cm in maximum depth at the base.
