Born and raised in Milan, Garavaglia was a landscape painter, mainly of Lombardy, but he also frequently visited Liguria, painting coastal landscapes and seascapes. The view presented here is of the alpine peaks of the Grigne mountains, seen from the small town of Magreglio, on the hills of Brianza facing the mountain range. Presented in a period frame.
