A duo in earthenware from the Salins-les-Bains factory, consisting of a small covered sugar bowl and a matching plate with a textured design. The sugar bowl features a beautiful rounded silhouette with two handles, in a soft ivory hue enhanced by a pale green lid with a subtle grid texture effect. The shape is simple, elegant, and typical of French tableware from the mid-20th century. The plate, in a bright turquoise, features the same textured pattern that delicately captures light and creates a discreet graphic play. The combination of these two pieces forms a harmonious set, where the fresh colours interact with the ivory of the earthenware. Stamped Salins, a historic manufacturer from the Jura that modernised its production during the 20th century by introducing more graphic designs and contemporary palettes. In excellent vintage condition, with fine hairline cracks in the glaze on the sugar bowl, typical of old earthenware, without affecting its use. The plate shows some light signs of use. Sugar bowl: height with lid 12 cm, height without lid 8.5 cm, width including handles 19 cm, maximum diameter 13 cm, base diameter 7.5 cm, lid diameter 9.5 cm. Plate: diameter 18.5 cm. An ideal duo for a contemporary table with soft, natural colours.
