Tulip table lamp LITA, France, circa 1970
Large "tulip" table lamp published by LITA in France, circa 1970. A characteristic graphic silhouette of the period: a large globe made of white opaline plastic, highlighted by a black outline, resting on a long cylindrical stem in black lacquered metal and a circular base. The contrast of the glossy black and the opaline gives it a presence that is both understated and sculptural. Technical specifications. E27 socket – 220 V – 100 W max. Switch on cable. Electricity checked and fully functional. The previous owners had also adapted the lamps for use as pendant lights by making two small holes in the base. This modification allows for an alternative use as a pendant. Very good overall vintage condition. Some minimal signs of age and use are to be noted, particularly a slight localized alteration of the globe as well as a few marks on the black lacquer of the base. Dimensions. Height: 60 cm. Diameter: 31 cm. Price per piece, 3 available.
