This charming glazed ceramic candleholder is a creation by Albert Thiry, a famous French ceramist active in Vallauris in the 1950s-1970s. Recognizable by his naive and poetic style, this piece illustrates his artisanal and sensitive work. Made of stoneware, the candleholder features a glossy white glaze nuanced with dark brown touches and is hand-decorated with a stylized floral motif in blue and green, typical of Thiry's universe. Its rustic silhouette, with integrated circular handle, makes it both decorative and functional. The underside is hand-signed "THIRY". Excellent vintage condition, with no chips or cracks. Original glaze intact.
