Superb small curtain cabinet in traditional office style, crafted from solid oak with golden-amber highlights, an elegant testament to the artisanal craftsmanship of the early 20th century. Its horizontal slatted curtain — known as a tambour — lifts gently thanks to a patinated brass handle. A key lock adorned with an oval brass rosette discreetly and characterfully secures the whole piece. The interior reveals four light wood shelves, ideal for holding documents, files, or precious books. The structure rests on a neat moulded plinth, and the double-framed back panel recalls the rigour of period workshops. The natural wear and warm patina of this piece are perfectly consistent with a manufacture date of 1900-1920 — an excellent state of preservation for its age.
