Armchairs by Madsen & Schubell, 1960s, Set of 2

This refined pair of mid-century lounge chairs by Madsen & Schubell was designed in Denmark in the 1950s. Made from stained beech, the chairs feature distinctive floating backs and seats, surrounded by a sculptural frame that harmoniously blends into the curved armrests and tapered legs. Both chairs are in very good condition. They were reupholstered in high-quality fabric less than five years ago and have seen very little use. They come from a non-smoking home where they have been carefully maintained.
