Mid-20th century neoclassical Hollywood Regency coffee table

Oval-shaped coffee table with a scalloped edge, dating from the mid-20th century (1950s/1960s) in pure neoclassical / Hollywood Regency style. A character piece of very high-quality craftsmanship. • The top: A magnificent genuine Sarrancolin marble (breccia marble) with rich shades of pink, cream, and brick. The top is heavy, shiny, removable for transport, and elegantly bordered by a richly pierced gilded metal gallery. • The base: A very robust double structure made of artistic cast iron (patinated bronze/brass). It consists of two supports adorned with an imposing sculpted ball, connected by a central stretcher with scroll motifs. The feet end in lovely geometric decorations. Ideal for a classic-style living room, a Haussmannian apartment, or to create a stunning Vintage/Chic contrast in a modern interior.
