A unique and expressive piece from the 1960s–1970s, this antique glazed terracotta jug captivates with its organic brutalist style, halfway between utilitarian object and sculpture. It evokes a molten material, as if the clay were still flowing, frozen in a viscous and poetic movement. Its deliberately asymmetrical design, textured drips, and faded turquoise-green highlights connect it to the zoomorphic and artisanal aesthetic of the mid-20th century. The exterior is painted on a raw earth, with a matte and rough feel, contrasting with the partially glazed interior. It bears a four-leaf clover-shaped stamp under the base, typical of French workshops of the 1960s/70s—still not precisely attributed, but observable on other similar pieces referenced as "French zoomorphic craftsmanship." It is also numbered 520 under the base. Traces of wear, chips, paint loss or stains are visible (see photo), reinforcing the authenticity and raw beauty of the object. A few discreet golden touches on the drips add an unexpected depth to the whole. 🔹 Height: 18 cm 🔹 Total width (with handle): 19.5 cm 🔹 Depth: 13 cm 🔹 Weight: 930 g 📦 Fast shipping, protected and careful package.
