Very nice lowboard by Fristho Franeker, produced in the Netherlands in the 1960s. It is a refined example of Dutch mid-century modern design with strong architectural presence. Crafted in beautifully grained rosewood, the cabinet features deep, warm tones and a subtle interplay of horizontal and flowing grain patterns across the long front and top. The rich veneer work enhances the clean, linear silhouette and emphasizes the impressive width of the piece. The lowboard is fitted with multiple spacious drawers, each featuring sculpted recessed pulls that are seamlessly integrated into the fronts. These understated details highlight the quality of craftsmanship while maintaining a minimalist aesthetic. The cabinet rests on a slim black base with elegant legs, creating a striking contrast and giving the substantial body a light, floating appearance. Its low proportions make it particularly suitable as a media cabinet, sideboard or statement storage piece in a living room or lounge setting. The lowboard is in very good vintage condition. The rosewood veneer remains rich and vibrant with only minor signs of age consistent with careful use. The top surface shows some stains and small spots, as visible in the photos. A timeless and sophisticated design that combines functionality with the warmth and character of fine rosewood.
