Description
This white metal bouillotte lamp has a circular green sheet lampshade, decorated with golden laurel leaves. It is adjustable in height on its square barrel using a butterfly screw. This lamp illuminates by three arms of s-shaped light that support beaded bobèches and flanges, on which the "candles" rest. Created in the eighteenth century for game rooms, this luminaire takes its name from a card game: the bouillotte. Today, this lamp model is often sought after for lighting offices and pedestal tables, for which it is perfectly suited. **** Period: early twentieth.
