Small vintage carved alabaster ashtray from the Hollywood Regency/Mid Century

A lovely vintage carved alabaster ashtray, handcrafted in the 1950s–1970s, Spanish or Italian. Hollywood Regency style, Mid-Century. The white stone, veined with brown, is polished and glossy, carved with a design of leaves and floral motifs, including roses. It has a gilt metal mount with a small cigarette rest. An elegant and rather uncommon decorative piece. In good used condition, with some natural wear to the stone, minor irregularities in size, and patina/oxidation on the mount. The interior is clean. It has a very attractive decorative presence. 11 cm in diameter, 5 cm high. Very good condition overall, with some minor and discreet wear to the stone consistent with its age, and patinated metal with some wear to the gilding, but a clean appearance. Approximately 700 g.
