Here are two charming antique plates from the prestigious Longwy earthenware factory, famous for its refined decorations and quality workmanship. The "Didier" model, rare to find complete, is distinguished here by a frieze of small yellow and purple flowers, accompanied by dark green arabesques evoking the flower gardens of the Belle Époque. Imagine these plates placed on an embroidered white tablecloth in a country house at the beginning of the 20th century. Their bucolic decoration takes us back to an art of living made of simplicity, softness and discreet elegance. Stamped Faïencerie Longwy, Didier model. Period: circa 1870–1910 Diameter 23.5 cm Colors: ivory, dark green, orange-yellow and purple A rare condition for their age: these plates have survived more than a century without losing their shine. Their enamel is still as bright as the first day, their decoration perfectly clean, without patina or tarnish. They have clearly been kept away from light and humidity, and have never (or very little) been used. A rarity for such old pieces. Ideal for a brunch table, a country decor or a vintage setting, or simply for collectors who love Longwy earthenware.
