Vintage folding wooden children's playpen. European craftsmanship, mid-20th century. Square playpen with a lightweight varnished wooden structure, composed of turned bars and a frame articulated by metal fittings, allowing it to fold flat. One side is adorned with a small abacus of multicoloured beads, a typical detail of 1950s nursery furniture. This type of playpen was commonly produced in France or Western Europe, with a focus on functionality and space-saving. Dimensions when open: 100 x 100 cm; height: 45 cm. Dimensions when folded: height 100 cm; width 45 cm; depth 10 cm. In used condition, with patina, minor surface wear, and slight signs of age on the wood and fittings. Functional folding system.
