Elegant plate in fine Gien earthenware, featuring a superb blue decoration inspired by the ceramics of the Lille Manufacture: a central rosette, reserved lambrequins on the rim, scrolls and small flowers in shades of blue on an ivory white background. A very graphic and symmetrical pattern, typical of Lille models from the 17th and 18th centuries, reinterpreted by Gien. Founded in 1821, the Gien factory upholds an exceptional French know-how: paste, glaze, and decorations made in the Loire Valley, resulting in pieces with chic and timeless charm. Stamped Gien: the stamp allows dating the plate to the 1960s-70s. Diameter 25 cm. In very good condition, very shiny, no micro-scratches from use. Perfect for collectors or as part of an elegant mismatched service.
