Mid-Century Modern Nathan Squares Teak Media / Lowboard Cabinet – 1960 Ico

Mid-Century Modern Nathan Squares Teak Media / Lowboard Cabinet – 1960. Iconic Nathan Squares Range • Scandinavian & Danish Influence • Stylish & Practical Storage. A superb Mid-Century Modern teak media cabinet / lowboard by Nathan, dating from circa 1960 and belonging to the highly distinctive “Squares” range. This beautifully designed piece perfectly captures the clean, architectural aesthetic of British Mid-Century furniture, combined with the strong Scandinavian and Danish design influence that became so fashionable during the 1960s. The result is a timeless cabinet with elegant proportions, beautiful natural teak and a wonderfully understated presence. The front combines two different storage sections, creating an attractive contrast within the design. One side features a practical enclosed cabinet, while the other is fitted with an elegant glass-fronted cabinet with an internal shelf, ideal for displaying books, ceramics, glassware, decorative objects or treasured collections. The warm teak showcases a beautiful natural grain, adding depth and character while complementing the clean geometric lines of the cabinet. The distinctive detailing associated with Nathan's Squares collection gives the piece its instantly recognisable Mid-Century character. Originally designed with the needs of modern living in mind, this versatile lowboard works beautifully as a media cabinet, television stand, storage unit or stylish display cabinet. Its relatively low profile makes it particularly suitable for contemporary interiors, while its authentic 1960s design brings warmth and personality to the room. The cabinet is in good vintage condition, with some minor signs of age and use consistent with a piece from the 1960s. These subtle imperfections contribute to its authentic vintage character.
