Eclectic figural fruit bowl 'Tree of Happiness' was made in Poland at the end of the 19th century. The vessel is made of brass covered with silver – the cool, slightly muted silver tone with a delicate, natural patina emphasizes the age of the item. The wide, low bowl is decorated with a repetitive relief motif along the edge and bottom, referring to late European ornaments. The centerpiece of the bowl is a three-dimensional composition: a stylized tree with detailed leaves and branches and a small deer figurine at the trunk. The whole is set on a massive, multi-tiered base decorated with bands of raised ovals, supported by three characteristic lion's paws – a typical motif of eclectic historicism of the late 19th century. The sculpted surfaces are slightly grainy in places – the silver is worn on the protrusions, more oxidized in the recesses – which gives the composition depth and texture. No visible modern interventions; all elements are precisely joined, without looseness or visible repairs. Very good condition: only minor signs of use, natural patina, minimal abrasions, and slight losses of the silver coating, typical for antiques of this period.
