Large Vallauris leaf-shaped dish – polychrome enamel – year

Signed Vallauris dish, in glazed ceramic, period 1960s-1970s. Its stylized leaf shape and its large size make it an emblematic decorative piece of post-war Mediterranean table design. Brush and poured glaze, typical of Vallauris: bright red, deep green, browns and yellows mixed in colorful drips. Each piece is unique, with a vibrant and spontaneous rendering. Dimensions: Length: 53 cm Width: 31 cm Height: 8 to 9 cm Use: centerpiece, fruit dish, monumental pocket tray, centerpiece for living room or dining room. Condition: two chips located underneath, not visible in presentation (see photos). Its flamboyant enamel recalls the season of incandescent leaves and the end of summer sung: "Colchicums in the meadows, bloom bloom, colchicums in the meadows, it's the end of summer..."
