The "Delfi" dining table, designed by Carlo Scarpa and Marcel Breuer and produced by the Italian manufacturer Studio Simon in 1969, is made of white Naxos marble. Originally designed in 1969, the marble table consisted of three pieces (its two legs and the top). Delfi is a reworking of Marcel Breuer's original design from the 1930s, which Carlo Scarpa collaborated with Breuer to modify for industrial production by Simon. In 1968, when Dino Gavina, to whom Marcel Breuer had gifted the original table, saw Carlo Scarpa's interest in it, he suggested they try making some modifications. Carlo Scarpa made only minor alterations, working solely on the openings in the center of its massive monolithic legs, giving the piece a more rationalist appeal and adding to its highly poetic presence. A masterful piece! Condition report: It is in very good condition considering its age. some small marks due to its use
