Marais International is a Parisian company that has been offering high-quality contemporary furniture since the late 1970s. Its collections feature a light and minimalist aesthetic, using carefully selected materials such as glass or plexiglass combined with steel. This beautiful console dates from the early 1980s and is no longer in the catalogue. It features two thick tempered glass shelves (15 mm thick), connected by four plexiglass legs (20 mm thick) mounted on steel fixing feet. (The entire piece can potentially be disassembled with Allen keys, but it is very difficult to reassemble, and abstaining is advisable). Its light, understated, and very design aesthetic harmonises with any contemporary, Scandinavian, or even Art Deco setting. It is in generally good condition, with signs of use: a few fine scratches, a chip of glass at one corner of the upper shelf (not sharp and not very noticeable), and another on one side of the lower shelf near a fixing leg (see attached photos). These marks in no way affect the overall sturdiness or aesthetic of the piece. It is worth noting that this item, at the time of its creation, was sold for the equivalent of €1500 today. Overall dimensions = length 107 cm (105 cm + 2 cm for the side screw covers), depth 37 cm, height 82 cm (height to the upper shelf = 80 cm). Height between the two shelves = 67.5 cm.
