Christofle Gallia Silver Plated Coffee Pot & Sugar Bowl: Art Nouveau Regenc

A wonderful pair of silver-plated coffee pot or teapot and sugar bowl from the famous French manufacturer Christofle&Gallia, Lauzun model in the Art Nouveau Regency style. The Lauzun tableware collection was created by the house of Christofle in the 1950s and its name refers to the Duke of Lauzun's hotel, built in the 17th century. The handle of the coffee pot is made of Macassan ebony, the products are decorated with gadroons and they have lconic but refined shapes. I especially like the way the coffee pot spout is made. At the bottom of the products there are Gallia stamps with an image of a rooster at the top, the inscription France and produced by Christofle with a stamp in the form of an image of a chess knight surrounded by the letters O and C. The items are in excellent condition, without visible scratches or abrasions. There is a minor manufacturing defect on the bottom side of the coffee pot in the form of warped metal almost like a small chip but it doesn't detract from the overall beauty of this set, but I should mention it and you can see it in (photo 10).
