Ancient Gothic chest in silvered fir, Italy, 16th century

Late Gothic walnut chest, Veneto, 16th century. Decorated with eight panels carved directly from solid wood, four on the front and two on each side, featuring rosettes, friezes, and typical elements of the Gothic style. It rests on zoomorphic feet. Interior made of fir. Top with restorations and replacements; one back panel and the strip under the top have also been replaced.
