2 "Mister Bliss" chairs by Philippe STARCK 1983
The "Mister Bliss" chair by Philippe Starck is an ergonomic chair designed for 3 Suisses in the 1980s (no signature for this edition). Its structure allows for the adjustment of the position of the legs to that of the back. The welded and lacquered steel tube structure with a slight tilt supports a seat and two padded knee rests covered with a removable fabric cover. Its curved, taut, and angular lines give it a very futuristic look. Starck here uses the name of one of the characters from Philip K. Dick's science fiction book "Ubik" for his furniture. Structure made of epoxy lacquered steel tube. Cover made of removable and washable fabric. Dimensions: 50 X 40 X 70 cm. Very good condition, lightly used. No apparent signature on the "3 Suisses" edition.
