Set of 6 solid wood (Wenge) dining chairs with rush seats (woven cane) and wooden backrests from the 1970s. Dutch design designed by Gerard Geytenbeek and produced by AZS, 1960s. Beautiful design of the backrest and seat with fine wood grain patterns. Chairs in a crossover style with a modern design and traditional use of materials. The design of the chairs bears many similarities to the chairs designed by Martin Visser for ’t Spectrum in the 1960s. Nice combination with the Pastoe table (see other add). Condition: Reasonable to good vintage condition. The rush seats are neat and without cracks. The woodwork has some minor repairs. A few nail holes have been filled in at the leg/seat connection. Light signs of use commensurate with age. Chairs are sturdy and stable. Dimensions: width 48 cm, depth 47 cm, height 77 cm, seatingheight 43 cm.
