Vintage Swiss Nonna rocking chair by Paul Tuttle for Strässle

Elegant rocking chair from the Swiss manufacturer Strässle, designed by Paul Tuttle in the early 1970s. This design combines the formal language of classic bentwood rocking chairs with contemporary materiality. The frame is a hybrid of wood and metal. The supporting elements and the glides are made of metal. The curved armrests are made of black lacquered wood. The tops of the armrests are notched over a large surface. The seat and backrest are made of dark fabric secured by a large loop at the back. As an outer layer, leather upholstery is used.
