Superb bronze lamp by Aug. Moreau – Woman with a Shell. Elegant Art Nouveau lamp in patinated bronze by Aug. Moreau, depicting a draped young woman walking on rocks by the sea, holding a shell in her arm. The statue, with its exquisite sculpting, perfectly illustrates the grace and poetry characteristic of the works of sculptor Auguste Moreau (1834–1917). Three frosted glass tulips, shaped like flowers, diffuse a soft, warm light. They hang from slender stems that harmoniously complete the composition. Total height: approx. 100 cm. Height of the statue alone: approx. 67 cm. Weight: approx. 10 kg. Signature engraved on the base: Aug. Moreau. Very good overall condition, with an even patina and chip-free glass.
