Antique French Opaline Glass Vases: Art Nouveau Floral Pair

These beautiful opal flower vases are probably from the early 20th century. The auction house where they were purchased rated them as late 19th century and I have no reason to doubt them. They are in the Art Nouveau style with a floral design and a wavy neck. Overall, they are in good condition considering their age. The larger vase has one small chip in the top enamel on one of the flowers in the design (photo 10) and a small chip in the top layer inside the vase. Both vases also have underglaze scratches from the glass making process. Nothing major but I had to mention it in the description and it is also reflected in the price of the items. So you get two amazing vintage pieces at a great price. We do our best to carefully inspect, study and describe each item.
