Japanese print of rare quality by one of the greatest japanese artist of the 20th century kasamatsu shiro (1898-1991) It is a very beautiful composition of a scene of life in tokyo under the snow. This edition is later than the 1st print which dates from 1935, it was made with the original engraved wooden blocks by the watanabe workshops, the largest japanese publisher. We can date this edition thanks to the seal of the house watanabe which is on the print.the 7mm seal found there is the one used by this prestigious house from 1957 to 1989. Dimension: 38cm*25.4cm (15"*10") oban dimension for japanese prints. This edition is in very good condition the print itself is superb with a beautiful intensity of colors it has some spots at the margin. The work is sold without a frame.
