Scandinavian Modern Stoneware Vase by Ulla Winblad for Allingsås Keramik, 1960s

This small Scandinavian Modern stoneware vase, designed by Ulla Winblad for Alingsås Keramik in the 1960s, features intricate sgraffito decoration and matte beige, brown, and blue glazes. The base is marked with the maker's logo "Alingsås-Keramik, " the artist's signature "U. Winblad, " and the model number "210." Each vase in this series is unique, showcasing different incised patterns and glazes. The vase includes pressed decor in low relief, depicting arrows and circles, and a low protruding ring on its lower part. Ulla Winblad (1933–1992) was a renowned Swedish ceramicist and artistic leader at Alingsås Keramik during the 1950s and 1960s. This piece is a fine example of her mid-century Scandinavian craftsmanship.
