The Gaveau piano by André Arbus is an emblematic piece in the history of French design in the art deco spirit. It is a rare piano, collector's item, sought after both for its aesthetics and for its musical qualities. André Arbus from Toulouse who became famous for having arranged presidential residences and liners (such as the prestigious "Normandie") began his collaboration with the famous piano brand Gaveau in the 30s. He designed pianos with clean lines dressed in precious woods such as mahogany, rosewood and maple trees combining aesthetics and musical quality in a reduced volume. Features of the gaveau quarter grand piano offered serial number 101860. Height: 100cm. Width: 150 cm. Length: 140 cm. It is noted that it has the keyboard extended by 88 notes (like current pianos). The ivory-covered keyboard is perfect. The furniture, keyboard, mechanics and harmonic structure are in excellent condition and do not require any restoration work. This allows us to guarantee by contract the structure of this instrument for a period of 5 years. This piano was bought new in the 50s to decorate a rich Parisian apartment. The instrument was of very little use. Delivery is possible throughout metropolitan France (contact us for any additional information). Price of the piano from toulouse: 7950€.
