Pair of wrought iron fire dogs

Very pretty and old pair of andirons with bowls, or fire dogs, made of wrought iron from the 18th century. The bowls were used to keep soup bowls warm. Great decorative items for your large fireplace. The patina is in its original state, good condition, very sturdy. The horizontal bars that hold the logs are not identical, and one of the fronts is missing a rack (see photos).
