Superb indian door with 2 swings bought at a famous antique dealer in mumbai. Dated late 18th to early 20th century. The original blue paint has almost disappeared, leaving the contrast between the raw solid wood and the intact metal ornaments (except 2 or 3 worn points). The level of detail is very rare on an ancient indian door, indicating that it certainly comes from a haveli. Each case is 46 cm wide, the 2 can still be closed with the original chain.
