Large Scandinavian teak sideboard – Danish design – 1960s

This large Scandinavian teak sideboard perfectly embodies the elegance of 1960s design. It comes directly from Denmark, as evidenced by its stamp on the back. Its generous proportions and careful design make this Scandinavian sideboard a remarkable modernist piece. The furniture has been completely renovated in the workshop, with meticulous sanding and the application of a protective oil that deeply nourishes the wood and reveals the warm hue and contrasting grain of the teak. The finishes include sculpted handles, brass screw covers, and a solid wood base with a central stretcher. The sideboard offers ample storage space with a column of four drawers in the centre (one with an original green felt bottom) and two side compartments closed by sliding doors with removable shelves. The top is framed with discreet edges to secure decorative items. The furniture is in excellent condition, renovated while preserving its beautiful historical patina.
