Restored knitting console table

Do you know what this is. It was used in the 1950s as a knitting machine table. Notable: the lovely asymmetry of the chest and legs creates a beautiful optical illusion... The top is actually perfectly horizontal! Completely refurbished: bluedark paint on the chest, medium oak wood, black metal legs.
